Scary statistics

I have just seen a story on Reuters that quoted private equity firm Blackstone Group's chief executive saying up to 45 per cent of the world's wealth has been destroyed by the global credit crisis.

This crisis seems to go from bad to worse, and if this figure is to be believed that is a staggering amount of wealth to be wiped out.

The crisis has been called 'unprecedented' which again is pretty worrying, especially as there seems to be no sign of an end to it.

There is no doubt everyone is worried, whether they are a small business, an enterprise, a consumer or an employee - but we just have to keep doing what we are doing and hope the clouds start to clear soon.

Alternatively look into becoming a banker, and no matter how badly you screw up, you can be assured of a hefty salary and a big fat pension at the end of it. Simples - as one famous meercat puts it.
