Sliding Pound

I don't know about everyone else - but this constant dark, miserable weather is getting me down at the moment. As is the constant doom and gloom courtesy of the national press.

But any thoughts I've had of escaping for a holiday in the sun is smacked down by the constant decline in the value of the Pound.

Many holiday destinations have kept their prices deliberately high to foil the Brits who used to think they were getting bargain because of the exchange rate. Now they are laughing even more at us as the Pound loses value at an alarming rate.

Going on holiday at the moment would be madness - unless you were wise enough to book in advance last year. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I'm going to retire to my cave this weekend and try to come up with a way of getting some money out of all the cash rich tourists that are making the most of the UK while they can.

Their money will be mine. If I can just figure out how to get it!
