Credit Crunch

I am getting heartily sick of the words credit crunch. If ever there was a case for being talked into an economic downturn - then this is it.
I have become increasingly annoyed and frustrated by the hysterical coverage in the national media EVERY DAY since practically the beginning of the year.
Every single piece of bad news is related back to the credit crunch (silently screaming). Bad weather at the weekend? Football team performing badly? Favourite band not at the top of the charts? Caught the flu? Obviously these are all the knock on effect of the global economic downturn.
Although watching companies crumble and people being shoved out of doors with their box of office supplies makes great sensationalist news and good pictures for them - it seems they have been banging on about this issue with a kind of sadistic glee, ensuring those of us that had tried to remain optimistic and keep a sense of perspective are slowly feeling our resolve waiver and are feeling more and more depressed.
So on behalf of us all - I would like to say thanks to the national media.
For nothing.
