Oh what a night - again!

That post Channel Awards feeling is definitely here, but the night was better than ever

I always feel I say this - but the 17th annual channel awards really were better than ever.

We had a great turnout and the new judging system seems to have gone down very well.

I even spoke to some of those that didn't win this year and they are more determined than ever to win next year which is a great reaction and one that I had hoped for.

Stephen K Amos was absolutely brilliant on the night - he controlled the unruly crowd and had them eating out of his hand during his routine. He even kept a large majority of the room's attention during the awards which is a feat in itself.

However the interesting antics on the night were numerous - most amusing was a slight cock up moment on stage, when the people who had won Judges Commended awards went up on stage when they shouldn't have, leaving the winners and the awards presenters perplexed!

I also have to mention a certain Mr Barlow, who scooped a well deserved Channel Personality of the Year award - but was actually in the toilet when it was announced, and had to have a second moment in the limelight....Only Mr Barlow.

Well done to all our winners and runners up - I hope you all had a great night.

I am definitely suffering today as a result.
