The Apprentice - Week 9
The claws have really started to come out as the end is in sight
Some true colours came out on the show last night as the Apprentice nears its final stages.
The main cat fight was between Liz and Stella - my top tips to win the competition - as they battled it out in a boy vs girl contest to buy all the items on Lord Sugar's list for the least amount of money possible.
These included chicken feet, a Singer sewing machine, some tartan fabric, a 4ft kitchen worktop and an Indian gold Tikka.
Unfortunately the girls just paid the highest prices, despite getting all ten items on the list, while the boys managed seven, but really haggled the vendors down.
It was the girls' eagerness when it came to purchasing a rare white truffle that lost them the competition - instead of paying a market value of £100, they paid £200, and lost the game with a £70 difference.
The Brand was on good from with his sidekick Chris as they came up with a wealth of crazy stories to try and save money on their purchases - including weddings in Scotland and brothers taking 'The Knowledge' test.
Laura was the one to go this week and I would certainly say not before time - she stabbed quite a few in the back along the way - and I think Lord Sugar had her cards marked - so the minute she appeared in the boardroom I knew she was going.
But it was the bitching and nastiness between Stella and Liz that really shocked me - Liz up until now has been really nice - but she showed another side to her that I'm not sure I like any more. I don't think it will have done her any favours.
But then it is a competition and they all want to win. More than anything else.
I'm still backing Stella and Liz for the final - but Liz let herself down last night.
