Award-a-gate

Dave makes a heartfelt plea for the unrightful owner of CCS Media's Channel Award to hand themselves in

I was shocked to learn this week that CRN's newly crowned SME Reseller of the Year, CCS Media, has been robbed of its Channel Award - quite literally.

The Chesterfield-based VAR had a teetotaller at the event (must have been a fun night for him - I've always found it a fascinating exercise to be around people who are absolutely wellied when you yourself are sober as a judge).

In any case, Sammy Sobriety was wisely given the award to guard. Evidently more generous than me, he put it down on the bar while he got a round.
After paying for the drinks, he turned around to find to find a Channel Award-shaped empty space.

So I'm making this an official appeal on behalf of my friends at CRN to whoever has that award: do the right thing, return it and we promise you and yours will not be harmed. (Well, maybe some light chafing or a paper cut.)

The guys at CCS are obviously very distressed about being deprived of the crowning achievement of a successful year. And, take it from me, no expense was spared on those trophies, so God forbid they should fall into the wrong hands. Those bad boys are worth their weight in plexiglass.
