Grudgingly festive

Dave Diamond-Ebenezer offers his loyal readership his own special festive message

So, this is Christmas, and what have we done? Well, if you're reading this, then we've all managed to grimly inch another 12 months closer to death's gentle embrace. By which I mean we've survived - good on yer!

Here's hoping that, after an absolute dog of a year last time out, you all turned it around in 2010 and managed to grow your businesses again, by hook or by crook (or by cooking the books).

Here at Dodgi, we enjoyed a nauseatingly successful year, and I'm planning on more of the same in 2011. Wherever you place your bets, be it cloud computing (no chance), unified communications (what you on, pal?), virtualisation (have a word) or dirt-cheap factory seconds zip drives (now you're talking!), I wish you all the very best of luck. Except those of you operating in the Barking and Dagenham area, obviously.

Now, go and shed the suit, turn off the BlackBerry, leave your email well alone and swear off acronyms for a good fortnight. You've earned it.

Take care, God bless and be lucky.

Merry Christmas, one and all!
