Battle of the sexes

Enough of this carry on - just accept that we all work together and no one is better than the other

An article in the Evening Standard last night made me laugh out loud - all for the wrong reasons - about a guy suing his woman boss in a well known department store for sexual harrassment - because she patted his bottom 'inappropriately' on several occasions.

Good for him I say. If it is good enough for women to do with an over amorous male boss - then it is good enough for men as well.

But already this guy is being called a manner of names by the feminists out there, and also told that he should be grateful a woman did that to him.

Why? Women cannot have it both ways.

That's what annoys me about these so-called feminists - they have taken it too far and by making a fuss of 'women in [insert relevant industry here]' - it just makes matters worse and draws attention for the wrong reasons.

I am often approached about doing a 'women in IT' style feature in CRN - but I just think is is patronising.

Would we then follow it up with a 'men in IT' feature?

I might be going against the grain here - and don't get me wrong - I genuinely respect all the women that work in our industry - but a lot of them have actually agreed with me when I've seen them face-to-face.

We all just want to do our job and do it well - that should be everyone's motto - regardless of whether you are male or female.

I'd love to hear from you if you think I'm talking rubbish or if you agree.
