Crims in online idiocy shocker! Dave investigates

The heady days of social networking idiocy, when it seemed that every week I got to write about a new guileless idiot losing their job/money/spouse/freedom through a misplaced wall post or Tweet, are sadly over.

People seem to have got largely savvy to the fact that, if you write stuff on the internet, then, like, absolutely everyone can see it, yeah? More's the pity.

But news reached me this week that a pair of brain-light and semantically unorthodox crims from Texas have apparently been busted for penning some monumentally moronic status updates.

The nationals report that a bank in Houston was recently relieved of more than $60,000. Local rozzers caught a break a couple of days after the event when two local young men began posting some ill-advised comments of Facebook.

"I'm rich," said one.

The other revealed he planned to "wipe my teeth with hundreds".

Extravagant, are you? Pah! That's nothing - I once wiped my teeth with hundreds and thousands.

In another blow for criminally common sense, the alleged robber also threatened to swap his regular toilet paper for $50 bills.

I jib when Her Indoors makes me buy the three-ply quilted stuff. This is just crazy.
