Channel Awards - the winners are decided

What a crazy day of judging yesterday

The award winners have been decided in a month-long judging process that has seen its fair share of blood, sweat and tears.

More than 20 judges have pored over and discussed the entries in the past few weeks since entries closed, before reaching their conclusions yesterday.

And some very interesting conclusions they were too.

Some categories had a stand out winner, but others, which prompted a great deal of debate, were not so clear cut and came right down to the wire.

It was clear that a great deal of effort went into these entries on the most part - but I have some interesting general judging feedback that I will be sharing with you at a later date and which I hope will help in the writing of future entries.

I also made a deliberate move to stay out of the second stage judging process and leave the three panels to it - so we cannot be accused of having any 'CRN favourites' in the mix.

Anyway, CRN does not have favourites.

So congratulations to all our winners and comiserations to all those that didn't snare the prize this year.

There are also a few judges commended awards this year, which themselves are praise indeed. These judges are a tough lot.

There is going to be a great party either way on the night - so I look forward to seeing you all there.

And no. I'm not going to reveal any results until 17 November.

Really, the answer is no.
