Fight Night 2012 was more than alright

Fuzzy heads all round as that post Fight Night feeling sets in

I think my aching head means I can safely say that CRN Fight Night went swimmingly.

Held as ever at the Brewery in Chiswell Street, the room was packed with over 450 people all cheering and encouraging our 16 brave fighters.

I have to admit I was dubious about having a female bout this year - but hats off to Liz Sherwood from Computerlinks and Sophie Dennett from Comstor - they did us proud. Somehow I don't think anyone will mess with those two after last night.

However, all our fighters put on a fantastic performance and each one should feel proud of themselves for all they have achieved in such a short space of time.

To put yourself forward for something like this and to raise money for charity is a commendable effort.

The fights themselves were entertaining as well - they really gave their all to each bout.

As ever the after party at the Beduin Bar went on until the early hours and I had to admit defeat at around 3am, leaving the hardcore FightNighters partying until daylight set in.

From some of the things said to me last night, it appears we will have no shortage of contenders for next year - but we will see if that was just the booze bravado talking!

Thanks as ever to everyone for supporting CRN Fight Night and for helping to make it such a special event in the channel calendar.
