Ultimate job perks

Google ensures a steady stream of job applications for the next 100 years

Google has escalated further into the league of 'companies we most want to work for' by revealing it will pay the spouse of a deceased employee half their wages for 10 years after their death.

It also gives any children of the deceased employee $1,000 a month until they are 19 and pays the spouse stock benefits as well.

That is a pretty amazing perk, and while I'm sure most employees want to go on living for as long as possible, it is a fantastic peace of mind cushion for people to have.

I'm sure many firms offer some form of life insurance for employees - but whether it is to this scale and for this length of time is another matter. Plus the money to the kids is a stroke of genuis.

Google has got it spot on in terms of making its employees feel worthwhile and valued and it certainly provides them with a great environment to work in as well.

I'm sure it won't have much trouble attracting people to apply for a job - it might have to question some of their motives for applying a little more though.
