Who are Europe's largest resellers?
Profiling over 800 resellers across the region, the European Elite from CRN sister publication Channelnomics Europe will make essential reading for any channel player looking to expand in mainland Europe or discover how their continental cousins are faring
Brexit or no Brexit, international trade forms a growing component of UK resellers' sales ledgers.
Countless VARs are expanding overseas directly, with many more looking to scope out potential partnerships in the region as they look to satisfy the increasingly global needs of their client base.
This makes the timing of the second annual European Elite, from CRN sister publication Channelnomics Europe, apposite.
The report, which you can register to view completely free of charge here, ranks Europe's top resellers by revenue, profiling 814 firms in total.
It also features interviews with no fewer than eight top execs from leading players, including Atea CEO Steiner Sønsteby, Cancom president Thomas Volk, and Insight UK managing director Emma de Sousa.
Amid dreary predictions from IDC and Gartner that the PC market is on an inescapable downward trajectory, Europe's largest resellers are swimming in optimism and have continued to grow, the report suggests.
Steinar Sønsteby, CEO of €3.4bn reseller Atea (pictured), said in the report, which is in association with Agilitas, that he's been pushing back against IDC's gloomy IT outlooks for years, claiming that the market watcher has been far too negative about the future of the industry.
"A couple of years ago I started to be more optimistic - really optimistic - on both the IT market in general, but also the role of the channel," he said.
"I said many times in my quarterly presentations that I thought IDC was under-representing the market and the health of the market when they predicted the future. It looked to me like they were looking in the rearview mirror.
"And I think that's exactly what we have seen, especially in the past year. Not only in the Nordics and Baltics but all around the world. You see Bechtle and Computacenter and all these guys do really well and we are no different from them. I think for the next couple of years all of us will continue to post double-digit growth."
In addition to supplying a comprehensive breakdown of the continent's biggest names, this year the report shines a light on the industry's specialists - the resellers that have chosen to centre their businesses on a single technology or vendor.
The report's ‘Meet the Specialists' section profiles a total of 110 resellers with top-level certifications around four technology areas: business applications, cybersecurity, communications and print.
