So Apple is to hold a press conference about the flaws on its iPhone 4.
The complaints about this phone have been building up over the weeks and Apple in its usual way tried to brush it under the carpet. Anything other than having to deal with the nasty press.
At least it is now going to face the problem head on. Although if the solution is as simple as it says - buy a rubber cover for the device and any reception problems will be eliminated - why don't all the geeks that rushed out and bought one for a ridiculously high price just go and get this cover and be done with it. Maybe they could queue up for that one as well.
I am a huge fan of Apple's products having started on the most basic iPod nano and now owning the iPhone 3G which never leaves my side. I am also going to shell out for an iMac because I have heard so many positive things about it. I haven't rushed out to buy an iPhone 4 because I don't see the point.
It even has quite a good record for customer service (for some people anyway).
But products aside, when a compay becomes so arrogant that it appears to look down its corporate nose at everything else - it is not exactly a wonderful image to portray is it?
Apple has a notorious reputation in the channel for not exactly being channel friendly, and an even more notorious one in the channel press - ie - it doesn't speak to the channel press. EVER.
If anyone from Apple does read this - please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
Love your work!!
