Not exactly IT related, but my journey to work has been disrupted now for over a year by the replacement of 'London's ageing Victorian water mains'. Not that I am bitter at all. It seems these people are plotting my course to work and are trying to make it as awkward as possible. They have certainly succeeded. According to the signs the works are scheduled to last until 2010 - joy. It makes me wonder how long the blue plastic pipes they are replacing the Victorian structure with will actually last. Something tells me it will not be 100 years before these people are back digging up the streets again.
