Carrier Cable & Wireless (C&W) claims the launch of a new Hosted Exchange service for partners demonstrates its renewed commitment to the channel.
This is the third Software-as-a-Service application launched by C&W since it re-entered the channel 18 months ago.
Available on a per-user, per-month basis, the service is billed as an enterprise-grade email system for SMEs. It follows the recent launch of online back-up and web IP CCTV SaaS packages for resellers.
C&W has a patchy record in the channel but head of worldwide channel business, David Dewsbury, said its 100-plus UK resellers should not be worried.
“We made the decision 18 months ago to definitely trade through channel partners,” he said. “It will be a bigger and bigger part of our business over the next three years.”
Dewsbury advised resellers to push the Hosted Exchange service to SMEs alongside its business-grade broadband offering. “It is guaranteed to work over our broadband connection,” he said.
