Corporate VAR Telindus Surveillance Solutions (TSS) has inked a global partnership deal with comms provider Marconi as part of a plan to swell its global presence.
The deal will see Marconi reselling TSS’s – the video surveillance arm of the Telindus Group – CellStack branded codecs, video recorders, control software and support services, with the reseller keen to tap into Marconi’s US client base.
Ken Sutherland, director of surveillance solutions at Telindus, said: “We are a European company, but we are trying to increase our global footprint and Marconi is strong in the US.
“Marconi is seen as a specialist high-end network provider. We are trying to work together to create reference sites and build a reputation. The two firms work well together as our offerings complement each other.”
The partnership will offer security and surveillance systems. Sutherland said demand for surveillance solutions is increasing with the threat of further terrorist activity, and so US airport monitoring has become standard.
Michael Ritchie, director of business development at Marconi, said: “TSS offers an application for video surveillance that is specifically designed to work with us. We have a good relationship and we have made a number of installations together.
“We believe that this deal will offer us a bigger share of the high-end market to work on more rail, air and sea ports together.”
