Computer 2000 (C2000) has confirmed Niall McGrane has joined its Azlan division, as exclusively revealed by CRN.
As CRN reported last month (CRN, 15 May) McGrane, previously divisional director for security at InTechnology, has left his post to take up a new position at Azlan.
McGrane has now been confirmed in the newly-created position of general manager, security at Azlan.
McGrane said: “There is a massive opportunity in the security market for Azlan. The time is right for a mainstream networking distributor to come into this market with a real focus and commitment and by doing that Azlan can very quickly become a major force in this marketplace. It’s a great opportunity and one that I am thoroughly looking forward to.”
Lee Perkins, director of Azlan UK, added: “We already have a strong presence but we are now planning to grow our presence considerably. We see security as a major opportunity for Azlan and by appointing Niall to this newly-creates position we are demonstrating our commitment to the market and to delivering the services and support that security VARs expect. We’re delighted he has agreed to join us.”
