Ingram Micro has taken just eight months to grab a coveted Investors In People award.
The award, which it received last month, is based on the quality of business strategies, effectiveness of management, the way it involves and empowers employees and its focus on continuous improvement.
Jenny Heal, senior manager for HR at Ingram, said: "The award is an endorsement of what we have always done and truly substantiates our success through our values and our people.
"Employees are given career opportunities by encouraging internal promotions and personal development. We truly value employee input and have various communications channels via which employees can make their views known. It also demonstrates we have employees who are committed to providing the best service possible."
Matt Sanderson, managing director of Ingram UK, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Ingram Micro and all employees should be congratulated on this success. Our aim is to provide the best service to our customers and vendors and this achievement is recognition that we are able to do that. We will regularly review the IIP standards to ensure we not only maintain but exceed expectations. "
