Swyx indicated the cessation of its relationships with Nimans, Scansource Communications Europe and Computerlinks was amicable. City of London-based IPIT now assumes sole responsibility for providing products and support to the vendor's current and prospective reseller base.
Swyx sales director Marco Crueger claimed the reshuffle would allow his firm to get closer to VARs and offer them keener pricing.
“We wanted to simplify our channel strategy and provide a more attractive offering to existing and potential UK partners," he said. "With IPIT, we have a trusted partner with an experienced team that already has a broad knowledge of Swyx, so not only can they supply product they can also offer technical support, training, project management and installation services.
"In addition, the change in policy will enable us to get closer to our resellers and offer them more attractive pricing and margin opportunities.”
IPIT managing director Tim Price said: “Our engineers have a wide-ranging experience of Swyx installations right through from small 20 user sites to large multi-site deployments. We also have a great deal of experience with MPLS and SIP technologies."
