Sentral Systems has been appointed as the sole UK distributor for business continuity vendor Unitrends, as the manufacturer looks to expand its operations internationally.
US-based Unitrends integrates different vendors’ hardware, and installs its own software to form a complete business continuity appliance. However, under the terms of Sentral’s contract, it will now be responsible for all stages of production in the UK, as well as distribution.
Les Haigh, managing director of Sentral Systems, said: “We are the first firm to take an overseas building role, together with distribution [for Unitrends]. This will bring us new VARs, and hopefully lead us to new markets.”
Sterling Whareon, chief executive of Unitrends, said: “Sentral fits our requirements well. All present sales will go through it. We also have a VAR programme that we will recommend Sentral should use.”
