Internal sales manager Paul Ashpole left Persona under a cloud last week following stories of clashes with the networking distributor's sales managers.
Roger Paul, MD at Persona, refused to comment on the reasons for Ashpole's departure or reveal whether it was a resignation or a sacking. 'He had been with the firm for about five months and it was an amicable split,' he said.
Ashpole's role was essentially an extra tier created between sales director Helen White and the firm's sales managers a couple of months ago.
A source at Persona said Ashpole's job had been made difficult by clashes with the sales managers. 'They didn't appreciate having an extra tier between them and the senior management,' he said. 'I think he felt that if he wasn't considered able to do the job, he was better off leaving.'
Two weeks ago, finance director Jazwant Joshi resigned to take up a similar role with the Burton Group.
