Network provider Gamma Telecom has claimed its acquisition of Asylum Telecom will fit in with its 100 per cent channel approach.
Gamma said Hungary-based IP telephony provider Asylum will improve its product development skills.
Richard Bligh, group marketing manager at Gamma, said: “We are the only network carrier that is 100 per cent channel. We live and die by the channel’s success.
“We are now using the software skills we have acquired from Asylum to enhance the IP and SIP products we can offer our channel. Now our resellers can sell more applications.”
Bligh said the acquisition has brought several relevant employees from Asylum into the Gamma fold.
“We have about 200 UK VARs and we are signing new resellers at a fair rate,” he added. “These are now predominantly in the IT space and not just telecoms resellers.”
