Securicor 3net has announced an ISDN terminal adaptor with integral PBX facilities. The Connect IQ 460 has two data ports and four voice ports.
The PBX facility allows a small office, or perhaps a retail outlet, to centralise data and voice communications, and take advantage of ISDN quality.
The PBX facility supports call pick-up, call forwarding, local hold, cyclic hunting, local and global short codes, as well as providing local calls between extensions using digital voice technology. For retail applications, the units also include a TPAD facility, supporting X.25 transmission of EFTPOS credit card transactions over ISDN.
