HP has completed its $2.35bn acquisition of storage vendor 3Par.
The hardware behemoth emerged victorious against Dell in its fight for 3Par earlier this month, by repeatedly outbidding its rival.
In a post on HP’s website, the hardware vendor said the acquisition would allow it to expand into enterprise-class public and private cloud provision.
It also stated that the merger, coupled with HP’s worldwide sales and channel network, would “rapidly expand 3Par’s market opportunity.”
Details on how the two firms intend to integrate their product portfolios will be announced at a later date, the statement added.
