Application access provider Ericom Software has launched a programme to woo channel partners.
Ericom’s PowerPartner Programme is designed to swell the vendor’s reseller ranks. Partners will receive preferential pricing, lead generation and protection programmes, and sales and marketing support.
Hayley Edwards, marketing manager at Ericom, told CRN: “We currently distribute through Avnet, Arc Technologies and Sentryst. We want as many resellers as possible.
“The new partners will need to be skilled in the application side to bring the whole infrastructure into place. We don’t want just the traditional hardware resellers.”
Edwards claimed application access, where users can access data saved on a server, not hardware, is a growing market which offers a vast opportunity for the channel.
“The application access market is growing because people want to be more mobile. The security side is also an issue with laptops, but data is protected if accessed through a server,” Edwards added.
James Munroe, Ericom product manager at distributor Arc Technologies, said: “We have been working with Ericom for the past six years.
We want specialist resellers that can add value, and are focused on the thin-client market. We want partners with technical expertise, not box shifters.”
