LG Electronics (LGE) has launched an Irish division – LGE Ireland – and will make a six-figure investment in the form of sales and marketing support for the new division.
Ian Collins, a local market sales and technology specialist, has been appointed as sales manager for LGE Ireland. Collins told CRN: “LGE has had a presence in Ireland for a while through distributor Kal, but now we will be able to deal directly with retailers and other channel partners.
“We haven’t got a base yet, but we hope to find an office in the New Year. We are just about to take on an area sales manager to look after our resellers in Ireland. My focus is to support the large retailers and buying groups in Ireland.”
Brian Na, president of LGE UK and Ireland, said: “The Irish market is a key growth area for our business and one that offers many exciting opportunities for consumer electronics and mobile communications.”
Joe Macri says the vendor saw 20 per cent of its UK growth come from its Cloud Solution Provider programme last year
