Networking software vendor ScriptLogic is planning to revamp its channel programme by introducing a Premium Partner level and appoint new resellers in 2006.
Colin Wright, EMEA channel manager at ScriptLogic, told CRN: “This year we will deliver more value into the channel and we will have new accreditations for distributors and resellers. We have around 35 active UK resellers, but we need to segment these out and have around 20 resellers that we want to bring on board.”
Wright said that the separation should be completed by March, which will clear the way for the new channel partners.
“We are looking to the channel to evaluate what technology we need and moving to plug any technology gaps.”
Mohan Sahota, managing director at ScriptLogic reseller Genus Associates, said: “Twenty new resellers will be too much as the UK is not a huge market. The more resellers the more diluted the market becomes.”
