Riordan Maynard, chief executive of Touchbase, told CRN that the firm will either merge or sell the unit, depending on what is best for the company and its people.
According to Maynard, Touchbase’s Avaya unit operates mostly in the infrastructure space, while DataPoint operates in the Avaya call centre applications space.
“We are in the process of putting the two together. They are a great fit because there is little or no overlap in terms of staff or customers,” he added.
Maynard said that Touchbase would continue to focus on its Cisco business globally.
