Distributor Steljes has teamed up with financier Syscap to roll out a flexible payments system for its resellers.
Martine Dodwell-Bennett, group sales and business development director at Steljes, said the set-up would hopefully boost orders and thereby sales.
“The initiative, Steljes Choices, opens up a wealth of revenue opportunities
for our reseller partners. It will help them to bid for larger deals and gain
greater 'share of
wallet' with their end customers,” she said.
“Instead of customers being confined by budget restraints and ordering only what they can afford, they can now order the complete solution, knowing that they can spread payments over a number of years.”
Resellers will be able to offer customers various leasing agreements covering Steljes' entire product portfolio, including training and warranties, with typical payment options of between three and five years.
Steve Bellamy, alliance partner manager at Syscap, said: “Spending cuts in the public sector and continued uncertainty in the private sector mean customers are delaying IT investments so they can protect their cash.”
