ML Integration (MLI), the Reading-based voice and data integration specialist, has been acquired by Cable & Wireless (C&W).
David Thain, a representative of C&W, said: " C&W is expanding to provide a complete suite of IP and internet services to companies of any size, anywhere on the globe. We are continually on the look out for niche acquisitions and MLI is ideal."
He added that C&W is particularly interested in MLI's network integration and technology skills. However, the firm would not give any figures surrounding the acquisition.
"MLI is the latest in a line of acquisitions which have been made for cash and if we revealed prices it would prejudice future negotiations," said Thain.
He also claimed that the acquisition is a partnership of mutual benefit. "There will be absolutely no redundancies at all. The skills set and market is finite and 65 per cent of MLI's staff are IP trained," he said.
