VAR Northgate Information Solutions has continued its domination of the local-government sector with a contract win at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Northgate has recently won contracts with Humberside Police (CRN, 23 October), Durham City Council (CRN Online, 13 October), Bristol City Council (CRN Online, 7 July) and Coventry City Council (CRN, 24 April).
Steve Knighton, head of enterprise services at Northgate, told CRN: “We have successfully won about 70 local council contracts. We do well in local government because we focus on it. Our expertise and experience is not diluted by focusing on other markets.”
Knighton said the Caerphilly project will involve Northgate improving the council’s customer service.
“Caerphilly Council will be easier for citizens to use because it will have a single point of contact and be able to deal with more calls,” he said.
