Fujitsu has launched a flatbed scanner with a 50-sheet automatic document feed. The M3093DE/DG is being marketed as the first of its kind to offer simultaneous front and back reading. It is also claimed to have greater document handling capabilities than any other mid-range scanner.
Fujitsu Europe's marketing manager John Goodyear said: 'As one of the largest computer companies in the world, Fujitsu dedicates considerable resources to developing high quality products that meet our customers' needs.'
The M3093DE/DG is fully compatible with all existing Fujitsu scanners.
It will scan up to A4 paper size and handle 24 pages per minute. The scanner offers 200dpi to 400 dpi and 256 greyscale printing.
'The mid-range scanner market has seen an increase in demand for duplex scanning capabilities,' Goodyear said. 'Although there are already some fast duplex scanners available, the new Fujitsu M3093DE/DG is the only one that can scan documents on unusual or delicate paper as well as deliver high throughput duplex scanning.'
The scanner has an image processing card which offers memory expansion.
This enables scans to be increased while maintaining throughput.
The M3093DE/DG has a list price of #3,794 and is available through Fujitsu's channel.
