Siemens has signed a deal with Canadian-based Newbridge Networks to allow both companies to market each other's ATM products, and to work together on future joint ATM communications products. Siemens claims that the global market for ATM, which is used to move multimedia across a network, will grow to $4 billion by the year 2000. The ATM market is currently worth $500 million worldwide.
