Security vendor PatchLink has set plans in motion to globally develop its channel and raise brand awareness.
The vendor has launched its Global Solutions Provider Programme (GSPP), which will consist of three tiers with differing levels of support and benefit as dedicated VARs are rewarded and new partners recruited.
Alan Bentley, managing director of Patchlink EMEA, said: “We are setting out what we can do and getting the right committed partners on board. We need to have the right channel for the customer demand. As we work across all vertical sectors it will be a mixed bag of resellers.”
Bentley has not put figures on the vendor’s plans as recruitment will be based on the qualities and resources of individual channel players.
James McKee, Patchlink product manager at distribution partner e92plus, was upbeat about the launch. “Resellers like partner programmes as it gives them reassurance that work is taking place to open up opportunities, dependent on the commitment of the reseller,” he said.
