CNet Technology is shipping the PowerSwitch SH600 Fast Ethernet Hub. The PowerSwitch has six Full Duplex switching ports, and is capable of line speeds of up to 200Mbps per port, says CNet.
Each port also features NWay auto-negotiation which automatically senses the line speed of the attached device and sets the transmission rates accordingly. The product is designed for medium to large networks, providing what CNet calls a 'big pipe' facility for minimizing the bottleneck between servers and user workgroups. It is being distributed through CNet's usual distribution channels, in other words Northamber, Merisel, DNST, VLSI, Howcom, and GBC.
