Logicalis Group has acquired the Hewlett-Packard (HP) enterprise end-user business unit of broadliner Avnet.
The deal includes a distribution agreement which will see Avnet supply Logicalis with HP and IBM enterprise products in the US.
The US-based subsidiary chalked up revenues of $100 million last year and ties in with Logicalis's planned expansion for its HP and IBM business.
Jens Montanana, chief executive at Logicalis, said: “This announcement is part of Logicalis Group’s continuing global strategy where expansion is achieved through both organic growth and acquisition. Today’s announcement further strengthens Logicalis’ strategic partnerships with HP and IBM.”
Logicalis was also active in the UK market last year when it acquired HP storage partner Hawke Systems (CRN, 29 August) and two IBM partners, Notability Solutions (CRN, 7 March) and TBC (CRN, 26 September).
