Managed security specialist Boxing Orange has partnered with security appliance vendor Blue Coat Systems to offer end-users internet protection.
The deal will see Boxing Orange use Blue Coat’s infrastructure for controlling web communications and applications as part of its managed service offering.
Andrew Mason, managing director at Boxing Orange, said: “Despite its ability to help users communicate more efficiently, evolving applications such as web browsing and file sharing bring numerous risks.
“In most organisations, the increasing use of the internet by all users is probably the issue most likely to cause network downtime or interruption.”
Nigel Hawthorn, marketing director at Blue Coat, said: “Blue Coat has had a lot of success with larger customers, but we are pleased that Boxing Orange will help us reach the SME customer base.”
