The deal will see Azlan, the enterprise arm of distribution giant Tech Data, extend its five-year relationship with Zyxel by adding Ireland to its existing distribution remit.
The distributor said its Dublin-based field sales team would be responsible for taking care of Zyxel's Irish resellers and will benefit from access to a wide range of online and financial services.
Lee Marsden, country manager at Zyxel UK, said the announcement should help to bolster the number of Irish resellers in the company's partner programme.
“Adding Ireland to its [Azlan’s] territory reach makes logical sense for us,” he said. “It [the deal] opens up the Zyxel Partner Programme and makes it fully accessible to Irish resellers.”
Adrian Foley, business development director at Azlan for Ireland, said he was “delighted” to be extending its relationship with Zyxel.
“We will work together to ensure Irish resellers have the tools and resources they need and make the most of the significant opportunity that Zyxel brings in both SME and consumer markets.”
