The Holbrook IT Group has become the second-largest Access Accounting VAR in the UK, following its latest acquisition.
Last week Holbrook acquired the Access business of Nottingham-based Solution for Accounting for an undisclosed amount.
"This is our fourth acquisition in two years. We are growing organically through training programmes and by becoming a certified Microsoft partner in certain areas," said Mike Smalley, managing director of Holbrook.
"We also have another acquisition on the cards: a Microsoft networking firm whose managing director is looking to retire."
However, Nigel Hudson, business development director at Technology Services Group, which in the past 14 months has itself acquired more than 10 firms based in northern England, said Access Accounting's market is slowing down.
"CRM is an application that's sold into the Access Accounting space, but it's growing more slowly than it was 10 years ago," he claimed.
