Cisco has added Micro Peripherals (Micro-P) to its stable of distributors for its Linksys by Cisco products.
The appointment follows on from the recent launch of the Cisco Consumer Channel Network (CCN), a UK programme offering extra support to resellers focused on the consumer and small business markets.
Through the partnership, Micro-P will gain access to the full line-up of Linksys by Cisco consumer products.
Cisco's Consumer Business Group already works with Computer 2000, Ingram Micro and Gem in the UK.
Ulrike Tegtmeier, vice president of European markets at Cisco Consumer Business Group, said: “The deal fits with our consumer-focused strategy to maintain Cisco’s leadership position as the market undergoes a period of transition towards the media-enabled home”.
Mark Kahr, purchasing and marketing director at Micro-P, said: “The constantly changing market means that there are huge opportunities for Cisco. As one of the oldest and largest distributors of IT and technology products in the UK reseller market, Micro-P is perfectly placed to market the Linksys by Cisco product range to our customer base.”
