Online reseller WStore has launched a dedicated Computer Associates (CA) store after its sales rose by 200 per cent in 2003.
WStore is flavour of the year with CA. The reseller was awarded the Largest Growth Reseller Account for 2003 by the vendor.
Business customers will be offered access to CA's ARCserve and eTrust product suites via the new online store.
Kate Hembury, sales director at WStore, said the e-reseller is looking at developing more online tools for the store and is aiming it primarily at SMEs.
"Because our relationship with CA is quite new, we have put a lot of time and effort into getting its message across online, and sales are going very well. If a vendor has a good message, as CA does, it is easier for our sales team to communicate it," she said.
"Our CA store has all the information a customer could possibly want on CA products. Our customers want simple information, and it is important to have something that they understand."
Hembury said WStore is considering starting similar schemes with other vendors in the future.
Jim Darragh, UK channel sales director at CA, said WStore had outperformed CA's other channel partners in growth.
"WStore is an incredibly hungry organisation and it has a great mechanism for selling CA products.
"Its real value-add is its online service, which allows it to configure software offerings and combine them with hardware to provide customers with a tailored solution to suit their individual needs," he said.
