Office Centre Central (OCC), the reseller-funded purchasing group that uses bulk buying to acquire stock for its members, is to expand its membership programme and finalise a major investment deal with corporate financiers.
Bill Hill, managing director of OCC, said: "We have met all our targets and it is time to get bigger."
Initially, all resellers interested in joining the group invested a minimum of £10,000 in exchange for company shares and a lifetime membership. But a separate scheme now allows an unlimited number of interested parties to join for a subscription fee of £100 per month.
Hill confirmed that he was in talks with corporate financiers about taking an equity stake in OCC and said the company expected to receive more than £10m in investment over the next six months.
Phillip Antonio, of reseller Broadville Computers, said: "It is still in its early stages as a business, and it is hard to find the right person to speak to. I would be interested in talking to OCC next year, but I will let them develop first."
