Casio has recently shifted the sales responsibility of its projectors from Casio UK, a subsidiary of the Casio Group, to Casio Europe, which is based in Germany.
Sven Carstensen, Casio Europe key account manager, told CRN: “Casio UK was only a small subsidiary, so it didn’t have the resources to provide the full level of support Medium and its resellers needed. Casio UK will now handle only consumer products, while Casio Europe will be responsible for projectors in the UK.
“Casio Europe has a professional team available to support Medium in terms of sales, technical product issues, product marketing and service. Medium can concentrate on developing and improving its relationship with resellers with the full support of Casio Europe.”
Paul O’Reilly, commercial director at Medium, said: “Sven’s team of eight are focused solely on projectors. We will benefit from the information flow from the whole of Casio Europe.”
Casio Europe has also launched two ultra-slim projectors that it has claimed are the slimmest in the world. The XJ-S35 and XJ-S30 have a height of 32mm at the thinnest point, a circumference smaller than a sheet of paper and a weight of 1.8kg.
