Data collection software vendor Hand Held Products has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with Avnet Technology Solutions.
The deal will see Avnet offer the complete Hand Held product line to its reseller network, including verification products, scanners, and mobile and transaction terminals.
Sukh Rayat, vice president Avnet Applied Computing Solutions, said: “The auto ID market is gaining momentum, and we want to be at the forefront of this development. By adding Hand Held Products solutions to our offering we can offer the variety of products and the innovation in wireless and mobile solutions that our resellers are demanding.”
Roel Vreebury, senior vice president international sales at Hand Held Products, said: “Avnet is one of the biggest distributors in the world, known for its good commercial and logistical abilities and financial strength. Another key factor in the decision process was the fact that Avnet is strong where we see the most growth potential; it has for example, a very strong presence in central and southern Europe and a solid customer base among IT resellers.”
