Oki's new OkiPage 4w is a 4ppm printer aimed at those business users who want a personal printer on their desktop in addition to or instead of a departmental printer. At a low price point of around #249, the OkiPage 4w has a resolution of 600dpi and a footprint smaller than A4 size.
The printer uses Oki's own microfine spherical toner which contributes to a sharper image, claims the manufacturer. Plans are currently being implemented to sell the product half through the retail channel as a consumer item, and half through the reseller channel aimed at corporate executives who want their own printer.
