Vendor BigFix has taken the wraps off its first global partner programme as part of plans "to establish itself as a tier one player in IT systems and security management".
The California-based firm, which has its European base in Chiswick, west London, has launched the PlatformONE scheme to house all its reseller, service provider and OEM partners under one roof. The vendor stressed that "partners of all types (will) add significant value" in helping it break into key vertical and horizontal markets.
Vice president for worldwide partners Suzanne Swanson will head a team of account management, business development, marketing and engineering staff across the globe. New partner certification training modules are to be introduced, alongside professional services courses.
Admission to PlatformONE is on an invitation-only basis and BigFix claims it wants partners with top-notch security management nous. The vendor stressed that it will "align direct sales resources in a non-competitive fashion" and that " all SMB and mid-market opportunities will require partner involvement".
Swanson said: "BigFix has become one of the hottest companies in the IT systems and security management space through its innovative technologies, proven ability to take the cost and complexity out of essential IT infrastructure management processes and outstanding customer support.
"We are presenting partners a unique opportunity to take advantage of the growth, profitability, and competitive advantages delivered by BigFix products and services."
