Time boss Tahir Mohsan has earned a prominent place in the rankings of the UK?s richest 100 Asians.
Mohsan?s holding in Granville Technology, the Burnley-based holding company for Time, MJN and Colossus, is estimated to be worth #50 million by a survey commissioned by Eastern Eye, an Asian community newspaper.
He has a long way to go before his wallet matches that of the billionaire Hinduja brothers ? but he is only 25.
Together with his brother, medical practitioner Dr Tariq Mohammed, Mohsan has built the system builder and mail-order dealer into a #100 million operation over nine years. Granville Technology currently employs 600 people.
Time Computers has secured two more concessions in Powerhouse electrical superstores, opening showrooms in Bristol and Ipswich over the next couple of weeks.
The openings take Time?s Powerhouse concessions up to 25. In December it opened its first standalone showrooms in Newcastle and Watford.
Time general manager Colin Silcock said the company had plunged into retail following research that revealed its advertising attracted customers who were interested in buying Time products, but were uncomfortable about buying a computer by mail order.
He said the retail venture had already proved ?hugely successful for us and extremely popular with our customers?.
