Business intelligence (BI) software vendor Cognos has broadened its reach across the border by signing Scottish VAR API Software to its partner network.
As a result API Software is looking to win around 15 new deals following its partnership with Cognos. It already works with a number of Scottish and global organisations including NHS Ayrshire & Arran, Halifax Bank of Scotland, Rathbones and Hewden Stuart.
Gordon McHarg, managing director of API Software said: “One of the biggest challenges facing our customers is finding an effective planning and budgeting solution. At the strong recommendation of our customers’ financial directors, we approached Cognos as we were keen to form a strategic partnership extending our expertise into this area. Working with Cognos will help meet our customers’ needs while further securing our market position.”
Ged Simmons, general business sales director at Cognos added: “API has an impressive record of growth and has done so by retaining and developing its valued customers. The fact that API chose to adopt Cognos BI and planning products clearly indicates API’s own development path to delivering broader based, sophisticated, enterprise performance management solutions, building on its Microsoft knowledge.”
