VAR Think4 has scooped the exclusive reseller rights in the UK for Korean electronics upstart Viliv.
Specialising in Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) technology, Viliv is a global firm with a turnover of $84m (£55m).
The deal with Think4, which also includes pan-European rights, is estimated to be worth between £1m and £3m over the next 12 months for the reseller.
Part of its remit will be to work closely on logistics, research and development of the Viliv range across a number of specialist and vertical sectors.
Rob Gibbons, managing director of Think4, said: “We are delighted to announce that we are the authorised partner for Viliv in the UK. This means we are distributor, reseller and warranty provider for Viliv.
“We have been working on this deal for several months, having identified Viliv as one of the market leaders in the new UMPC sector. For Think4 it represents a massive opportunity to position ourselves as one of the UK’s leading resellers in the UMPC market,” he said.
Gibbons added that the Viliv range will appeal to both business users and consumers with a pipeline of new products due this year.
